Senza Tempo. La Cancin de Margarita
It is now two decades since Ins Boza and Carles Mallol met in Granada. In 1990, having moved
to Barcelona, they made their debut with Senza Tempo, introducing a company that, treading the
blurred boundary between theatre and dance, has charmed audiences with works lavish in poetry
and playful spirit, humour and surprise. Taking its inspiration from Goethe's Margarete, this work
explores the lost memory of our grandmothers, our mothers, the women who lived, and live,
between love and war, between tradition and modernity, between the darkness and the light.
Co-produced by Senza Tempo and Festival de Barcelona Grec 2006
Mal Pelo. Bach
To speak strictly of dance would be, in the case of Mal Pelo, to restrict the expressive possibilities
of a company that uses the body to observe, to think, to reflect. Playing with different elements,
the company led by Maria Muoz and Pep Ramis have created a space in the world of
contemporary dance for their intimate, poetic, seemingly spontaneous, intensely artistic
performances. In Bach, the spectator is taken into a choreography workshop to witness in
fascination how a work is created. Alone on the stage, subtle and precise, dancing with an
enthralling combination of freedom and rigour, now in silence, now with a prelude playing in the
background & Maria Muoz in the plenitude of her performing power.
Produced by Mal Pelo in cooperation with Teatre Lliure de Barcelona
Raravis /Andrs Corchero - Rosa Muoz. De terrissa
He appears. She appears. Both in their overcoats, the cold, their dreams. They observe each
other, their paths cross, they finally touch, at times they understand each other. Clay works, like
certain rare, privileged encounters, resists the passing of time. In De terrissa, Andrs Corchero
and Rosa Muoz, those simplest and most sincere of contemporary choreographers, create a
dialogue between two bodies. A dialogue halted in an instant, in a silence, in time, enabling things
and bodies to be transformed, to intensify, to disappear. A company admired for its exploration of
poetry and its innovative language, in which Butoh dance is combined with other disciplines,
Raravis demonstrates, in De terrissa, just why this company has achieved such recognition.

and the Teatro Galn of Santiago de Compostela
ngels Margarit / Cia. Mudances. Slo por placer
In Petite Pense Placide n 1, Georges Perec said that cats inhabit houses better than people;
they can find a place for themselves even in the most horrible, angular spaces. ngels Margarit,
veteran dancer, choreographer and teacher, takes this thought as her starting-point to produce a
performance that explores space, that seeks the link between what is seen and what is heard,
between the instant and distance. This intimate, thought-provoking show also reflects the tension
that exists between the pleasure of dancing and the pain of creating.
Produced by ngels Margarit / Cia. Mudances in cooperation with the Teatre Lliure
Barcelona and Viladecans Local Council and ATRIUM-Viladecans (Barcelona)
Snia Gmez. Mi madre y yo
A dance show? A performance? Both things at once. It is now five years since Snia Gmez, who
learned her art with General Elctrica and has worked with Rodrigo Garca's La Carnicera Teatro
and La Fura dels Baus, amongst others, set up her own company, which made its debut by
producing a trilogy forming a veritable declaration of intent: Yo estoy en el mundo porque tiene
que haber de todo, Yo no soy nadie pero me cago en tu puta madre, and Yo no hablo ingls pero
a veces me lo paso bien. All titles in the first person singular, because Gmez's work is strictly
personal, autobiographic, a journey built up from experiences, little moments, irrelevant everyday
events. Such as those we discover when she shares a private moment with her mother, the two
together, separate, close, distant.
Produced by M.O.M / El Vivero with the support of INAEM - Ministry of Culture
Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. Viatges a la felicitat
Five choreographies based on Eduard Punset's El viatge a la felicitat.
For the last decade, the National Theatre of Catalonia has regularly opened its doors to the most
outstanding Catalan dance companies. Now, with Viatges a la felicitat, the theatre makes the leap
from just programming dance to actually producing it. Inspired by Punset's work and guided by
Sol Pic, a group of dancers - Ins Boza, Germana Civera, Jordi Corts, Thomas Noone and
Montse Snchez - explore the idea of happiness, what it is and its influence on our lives. Five
choreographies to find joy through the feelings, through the body.
Produced by the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya
Closing concert, Macaco. Ingravitto
For years now, music has revolved insistently around the idea of the melting-pot, but, as the
Polish philosopher Jerzy Lec points out, we should even learn non-existent languages. That is why
when, in 1997, Macaco formed El Mono Loco, he did so in the conviction that mixing music from
different countries serves no useful purpose unless we also understand the cultural contexts in
which they were born.
Nowhere like Frankfurt, where Catalan culture is on display to the world, to remember the
importance of discovering what is on the other side. Published in 2006, Ingravitto demonstrates
that cultural exchange is only possible where there is knowledge of the other.
Video installation: Moviment / Temps d'imatges
Comprising a selection of works created and performed for the camera, and a series of audiovisual
works on shows relying on the power of images, Moviment / Temps d'imatges explores the fertile
relations established between the world of dance and contemporary video. Formed by five screens
embedded in structures to give a sense of chaos and to evoke the idea of recycling, the exhibition
is completed by an area in which visitors can learn for themselves, choosing pieces la carte,
browsing through books and catalogues& This is a show that invites the public to fully enjoy the
creativity of modern Catalan dance.
