The aperitif to the taste of Catalan culture that will be served up at Frankfurt takes the form of a very specific inaugural show, a jam session with the performers wearing smoking jackets to produce what will be, no doubt, an extraordinary evening: a journey through eight centuries of Catalan culture, from the Homilies d'Organy� - the first written text in what can rightly be considered the Catalan language - to the present. Over 90 minutes, some of our leading contemporary artists will take the stage to transport the audience on a magical voyage, stopping off at key moments in this ancient European and Mediterranean culture. From music to literature, from dance to fine art, outstanding contemporary talents will bring to life all that Catalan culture has given to the world over the centuries, creating an exquisite, vibrant mosaic.
