The Catalan culture passes the
baton to Turkey, the Guest of
Honour at the 2008 Frankfurt
Book Fair. Two great novelists
united by the Mediterranean sea,
Baltasar Porcel and Elif Shafak,
discuss the idea of literature as a
bridge that unites our European
homelands. At the end of the
event the Catalan organization
will present the GastRolle, an
artistic object specially designed
by the Frankfurt Book Fair,
to the representative of the
Turkish organizing committee.
